You're right, it is still going. It might depend on your corner of the site, I guess, but I've been witnessing a slow but steady haemorrhage of people from it over the last few months, so while there are new posts and activity whenever I do check it, it still manages to feel very empty in spite of it. Like there isn't much substance, and I don't know anyone on it personally any more. It feels the same as what happened with LJ to me - even after "the event" some people still kept using it, I did for a while too, but things trailed off to the point where there was simply no community left.
